But unless LSU makes a dramatic improvement on the OL this will be trouble in the rest of the SEC games this year.

Its hard to fault Jefferson when he has to run for his life on most of his passes.

His first TD to LaFell he was throwing while getting hit.

When is the OL going to step up and give him some time?
Is it a breakdown in coaching?

As for the run game...You cant run through holes that arent there. Unless your name is Russell Shepard of course.

Shep should see way more touches.

Hey Crowton..when you see something working..stick with it. Shep disappeared in the second half..was he injured? Or was your play calling injured?

Our defense needs to show more blitz packages, especially on third and long.

Rattle the QB, thats what LSU did in the first 3 games of '07 and we looked unbeatable, unstoppable and like National Champions.

I am very happy that LSU is 4-0, but with the tough teams to come they will have to step it up on the OL, get more aggressive on D and play with more emotion.

Apparently these teams LSU have played were hungry to beat them, Les needs to motivate the players like that NOW, the road is about to get much more difficult......

I wouldn't hate it if we went out and splashed some money on an o-line coach.

Recruits seem to love Coach Stud but..........he still has trouble landing them, so I don't necessarily see a reason to keep him around.

I know Miles is the o-line guru but it certainly can't help to change it up a bit. I think we miss Searles a bit.

we got no rhythm. we go out there bumbling around, looking at the sidelines, delay of game, time out and then run Scott up the middle after the time out. We should script the 1st 20 plays and run them and dictate to the defense. The read and react stuff is too agonizing and confusing for our players

This is what makes me so mad my head feels like it is going to explode. If MSU is daring you to throw and placing all their eggs in one basket of stopping the run, then take what the defense is giving you. The long throw to Tolliver and the td to Lafell should have placed the exclamation point on this. Keep doing it over and over until they realize they better make some change.

I so badly want to believe that this is part of the evil genius plan to give shitty game tape to Florida, UGA, Bama. I want to believe in that conspiracy that we've not seen the playbook open up.

But......... I'm afraid.

Because he seems more of a buddy than a coach. He needs to redefine who he is and what he does for this team. And light a fire under these players....

I don't understand running the option in the the short yardage situations, I mean we lost yards both times. Crowton needs to do what golfers do have a talley book and right down plays that lose yardage in a game and refer to it.

exactly. The o-line has ZERO passion. I truly believe that's the foundation of all of our problems, even some of the defensive issues.

fix the o-line, give them that fire and we can be outstanding, I don't care what you say.

I'm not a fan of sitting on the trump card. You sit on the trump card too long, you're gonna lose.

While agree with this and its painful to watch..I did notice JJ going under center without looking at the sidelines at the beginning of the game. He seemed to be more comfortable and confident.

Then the looking back at the sideline crap started and the team starts looking confused again...

O-Line coaches should be mean, nasty mofo's not "lets hold hands around the campfire and sing Kum Ba La"

This line is terrible and will get skull fricked by the likes of Bama and Florida's D Line

I told my buddies this the whole game...They are jamming up the middle either run some sweeps are just throw until they back off.
I think part of the gameplan was to put pressure on JJ and stop the run. Put their DB's in man to man and hope for the best.
When you have stud DB's why not put them in some man to man and put more pressure on the QB.
Thats what great defenses do.
I wish we did that more........

I keep saying that LSU should throw on every down until they put 4 on the defensive line and then run a draw with Sheppard or Williams. LSU's offense is very predictable. The offensive line will continue to lose the battle on the line when teams are loading 8 players against the offensive line.

I agree and so do 95% of the fans..You have to believe Coach Miles knows this and is trying to fix it.
Three and outs by your offense kills your defense.
I hope we have someone recruiting OL in the next few years really hard.

You seem to think its only Crowton calling the plays... when they line up in anything with a full back, thats Miles.

We can't run inside with a back as big as charles scott unless we can get some push from the ol. Our only success came with sheppard and jefferson off tackle, and we stop doin that at half. And the option to the short side, I don't get it. Our strongest offensive asset is our passing game, and I agree with the above mentioned, pass every down until they put 4 on the dl.

It IS so predictable. Charles Scott/Keiland (try to) run up the middle. Same for second down. Oh shite, now we have to pass. If you can't run it up the gut, hum one downfield on first down once in a while. (They FINALLY did this, and it worked).

Why was Alem told to stay back in the second half after creaming the QB several times in the first half?????? They just gave him time and let him throw.
