I posted this in another thread but I wanted to make sure you all got a chance to read it.

I've had enough of this crap

quote:

3-7, 4-7, 4-7. Pretty shitty records in that decade.

Since Saban, we haven't even approached something that sh**** until last year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So 8-5 is close to 4-7...i'm a math major, but i don't think an english major would even do that bad of math.

You should really stop talking. All you are is negative. How does a man with such a great record and a great love for his team and their fans get so much crap? Why does Les deserve this?

Who would we get that could do better? Can I ask you? And you want to go into recruiting and talk about all of the talent he is not (BS bc he is) winning with...who is recruiting this talent? I don't know if you knew this or not but we are playing with Les's players now.

I'm just really sick of the Miles bashing. We were national champions two years ago. i bet you were among the number who decided not to go to the SEC championship after we lost to Arky in 07. [Insert Arugument that we are the luckiest championship football team ever]

Here is my argument to that...we were very UNlucky not to win the two games we lost as we were to get in the game. But no one talks about a loss or a win after the game being unlucky or lucky...just two years down the road when they are just trying to discredit a coach.

So do us all a favor, find something else to do or somewhere else to complain...cuz I'm fed up. Chicken I love this site, but I am sick of these guys "opinions". Back it up with facts are get out. If we go 8-5 for two more years in a row, then talk about is it time to get Les out.

But do me a favor and look up the word loyal...see if it applies to how you feel about this university and this coach. Until it does...please take down your banner of being an LSU fan...we don't need your kind here. There are 10,000 at least more people who would be willing to buy your season tickets.

So I'm gonna go watch my Damn Strong Football team on Saturday in Starksville and I am going to go cheer for my Damn Strong Coach...I suggest you do the same. Until you can, kindly leave.

Thanks. Have a GREAT day!

Signed Realitiger/Positiger

Jeremy

They also seem to forget that his Majesty Earl of Saban also went 8-5 in his third year. A year after going 10-3. So even his Majesty had a slip after a 10 win season.

Weak, dude. If you think this is a "damn strong football team" based upon what's occurred so far, you either have not watched ANY of the games, or you work for the LSU Athletic Dept. Bring this BS elsewhere.

Three notes:

First of all, while 4-7 is not equivalent to 7-5, I do believe last year was the first season we had an SEC record of under .500 since the DiNardo era.

Second, if Les Miles goes 8-5 THIS season, it likely means that he finished with a sub-.500 SEC record for the second consecutive season. That would merit some discussion about his future. We don't need to wait for two more years of 8-5 records to have that conversation.

Finally, there is no real need to debate Les Miles until the season is over. Let's see how the team does in the remainder of its games. Time will tell.

wow...nice name. And so you know I have been in the front row of the ss watching the home games and watched the washington game on TV. And i don't work for the Athletic Dept. And I do believe we have a great team this year! You will see. (Ps I think 10-2 qualifies as great)

Not strong but certainly not weak either. We have our problem areas (both lines) but other teams in the SEC have been having trouble too.

there is some truth in what you say, but you are as extreme as those you criticize.

Chances are that neither of you is right.
They are likely wrong, because we do not know whether our football world in caving in or not.
but then in all honesty, you do not know what we will or will not win either.

a lot of football left !
take it from an old man..relax, all of you,
but also, there is nothing wrong with being critical...most people do better if they know someone is watching.

...from what I have seen, there are areas of major concern....
whether they get corrected or not...my crystal ball is in the shop.
time will tell.
in the meantime, enjoy the wins that come our way, pretty or not.

Like most of the older posters on this board, I was raised to be a Tiger fan. I went with a bunch of friends to Alabama and watched our Tigers get beat 30-0 by the Bear led Tide. I never thought of booing and I left still loving our Tigers. Winning or losing shouldn't determine if you are a fan? Charles Mac got run out of Baton Rouge because he couldn't beat the Bear. He bled purple and gold and consistantly had a team winning. I hated that people couldn't see that no other coach was beating Alabama at that time either. Les is a good man and a great coach.
