I'm kind of with you on this one, but a guy on the dance team does look kind of silly. Maybe if they were more like the guy cheerleaders where they spotted the girls it wouldn't be such a distraction. In this scenario, though, he kind of stands out and detracts from the performance, you know? I think that's not fair to the girls.
As for male cheerleaders, I think they're great. And for those who insist that they're gay (not that I care if they are), most of them were really good high school athletes who either couldn't get a scholly to play college sports or had an injury.
