Charles Scott to play mostly at FB, the remainder of the season, says Miles. We are a one back team.
Also it seems Murphy is likely out for the season.

This speaks equally of the FB play as it does the TB play.

This doesn't hurt Scott's NFL stock. He was always going to be a 3rd/4th round guy. With good FB and RB experience, he could be more of an all purpose player in the league.

said the smae thing last year only the players were reversed, Miles just needs to say I'll go with whoever has the hot hand. Last 2 games it's been Kieland.

if you listened to the PC, Miles didnt say it this way at all. Just that we need Scott to play FB some more.

I am not one of these guys who says the starter should be Scott or it should be Keiland....I think it should be the RB who is doing the best with his touches that he gets!!..I completely agree with Miles on this one. I like both of them and think they are different types of running backs. So, you give it to the guy who is hot!!

This. That article is very poor in its quotes of Miles. People are going to freak when Scott starts saturday and sees maybe 5 plays at FB.

"We'll be more one back this year."
" This team needs Charles to play at fullback with the ability he's got. That will happen the rest of the season."

Did you listen to the press conference? Miles didn't sound anything like the article is making it out to be.

No it's straight. I just don't like how the article is going to give people the idea that chuck will be FB the rest of the year. We may see that look 10 plays a game max. Miles said something in the tone like, "Scott will have to play fullback a little more this year". Plus he hasn't named Keiland the starter.

eta. I think that keiland should start, though and like the truck at FB a lot.

Not intended to be a flame but how can a back like Scott only have 100 yard YTD? I know Vandy is solid in the middle but he only got about 50 in each game.

Lucky...look at the # of carries he has. Only 48 Offensive plays against UW.

He doesn't have the speed to go outside if the holes close up and he doesn't have a solid FB in front of him. And our OL hasn't been great.

When Scott is in the game, everyone from the opposing defense to the fella selling corn dogs in the stands know where the run is going, right up the centers ad=ze. With the offensive line play, that hole (pardon the pun) hasn't been open to date.
