Well...Our Defense is working with players who anywhere else would not see a down at a defensive position. But Baker pulls us aside everyday and makes sure we can at least compete with the offense. Baker, Briggs, McLin all know what they are doing, and are breaking barriers as they go along. Last Saturday, Baker was here from 7am to 5pm making blitzes to stop Myers, and ended up cussing a hurricane when he heard myers wasnt playing.

But as far as skill goes..Bell and Switz are the obvious big time guys, but our #3 punch, Hughes, is out for the season with a torn ACL. All got letters of intent/scholarships from D1 schools. But with Josh gone, Chas Kelly is getting some PT at FB to relieve Causey (who will go on ascholarship to a Big 6 school) and Higgenbotham from playing both ways. Tyler McGrew is crazy fast, like 4.1 fast. Prescott is a converted TE who hasn't dropped a single pass in 13 games. And our O-line is anchored by Buck Johnson, who weighs in at about 275, and will also more than likely go to a D1 school.

sorry for the rant. were just trying to earn respect (and kick the ever living shite out of Zachary.)

The defense has not been good for the last 2-3 years. I haven't seen y'all play yet this year, but I do hope the tackling and pass defense has at least improved a little bit from last year...b/c well, it wasn't that great and made it aggrivating to watch the games.

Baker seems like a cool guy. He seems pretty focused on the sidelines from what I have seen and does a good job. I'm not a fan of Briggs, especially since y'all had a guy like Coach Weise on the staff who was a damn good LB coach yet it seemed like he was just pushed aside and forgotten....but I'll shut up before I go too far with that one. IDK McLin, although I heard he didn't even play football in high school but I wasn't sure if that was true. (It wouldn't surprise me though, considering there is a certain assitant who didn't even play football while @ Live Oak b/c he couldn't hack it. But hell, he's got some talent at the position he coaches so he won't have to do too much coaching).

Why is it that all you damn Live Oak kids worry about these days is playing college football? I've heard this same crap every year about how 4-5 guys have a shot at going to a D1 school....and it never happens. If y'all would actually focus on this season and worry about what you have to do to win the next game, this team could surprise a few people. Plus, the recruiting aspect of the program has always been weak, and that really needs to be improved to give these players a chance to playe in college if they want to. But, I've been saying this for 3 years know and nothing ever happens, unless the kid's parents do all of the recruiting work themselves.
Causey is the most talented kid on the team and has the best chance out of anyway to being Live Oak's first major prospect in a long time. Causey is a great player and knows what it takes to have a shot at playing on the next level. Bell has some talent too, he just needs other WR's besides Switzer to step up. I played with his older player, who was also a solid QB and never was given a real chance to show what he could do. The Bell's are great people, even though the older brother ended up at Auburn. McGrew is fast...not even close to 4.1, or 4.3 for that matter. Low 4.5 probably. He's just a great athlete all around, although I think his best sport is baseball if my memory is correct. Oh, and Prescott better catch those damn passes b/c God know's he tall enough to see over everyone on the field. Tell him I said hi and don't drop the ball.
