Blues, that sounds like a ticky-tack foul there at best.
Daniel had already been waived, so he was either going to get picked up by some team to be on the regular roster, at which point he'd make more than he would being on our PS, or he was going to be a FA, at which point we could sign him to the PS.
That's under the assumption that LaCanfora had real knowledge of the situation and wasn't making an educated guess given that we were chasing Daniel as an UFA before he signed with the Skins.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe the Saints chatted up Daniels at the combine and when LaConfora asked Daniels where he would go, Daniels said I'll probably go to the Saints. Maybe???
