LSU is loaded with talent and speed, easily top 5 talent. UW, not so much. Bottom 1/3 in NCAA talent and speed.

Washington is improved, but still a bad team.

Yes, it was LSU first game. But it was also Washington's first game.

Yes, UW has a new system, but this is the first year in that new system.

Other than scoring and penalties, UW outplayed LSU in al facets of the game.

UW was up for the game. It was home game and first under a new coach.

LSU's D looked really porous and will be troubled all year..

LSU should have allowed JJ to hit the WR's more.

LSU's O line is less than touted.

JJ is not as touted.

Bottom line is Les is not a great coach.

With that being said, LSU will blow out Vandy at home.

if SC had played Wash, what do you think the score would have been?

Really the only thing I can hope is that UW is waaaayyyyy better than last year.

I was disappointed last night with the offense and the defense.

I don't think Les Miles will be at LSU in 3 years. We are really starting to see how weak of a coach he really is.

Our team looked unprepared and unfocused for the game last night. I expected us to kill UW. People can make all the excuses they want, but we are not an elite team people think we are. Les Miles appears to be taking the LSU job for granted.

What I noticed yesterday in the SEC was that Miss St, Bama, Tenn look to be well prepared & coached. With that said only Bama played a worthy opponent, but Tenn looked damn good at least on defense. Bama is strong all around. Miss St looked improved, but they played a sorry team. Georgia looked as bad as LSU.

I predict another 8 win season and the heat will be put on Miles.

This was said a lot before it happened to Carol.

What does last night's poor showing have to do with Pete Carrol?

Stupid, asinine statements like this one.

Bottom line is Les is not a great coach.

Les would never lose to Stanford at home. Therefore Les Miles is a better coach than Carol. If Miles is bad, Carol is worse. See how that works?

I am not basing the statement on last night's game alone. Many many others here have the same sentiments about Miles, so don't behave as if the statement is from another galaxy.

But nice attempt to make this this another LSU USC pissing contest thread. Not biting.

Washington has talent they just have no depth, look back at Scout/Rivals over past 5 seasons you will see Washington avg's around 32-36 in ranking depending on which one you use.

When I say talent, I am talking two or more deep talent.

This makes me think that JJ has not shown enough for Les the give him the confidence...don't know what else it could be.

Your assesment of Les Miles entire resume as a coach based on one game is about as relevant as the Les Miles vs Pete Carol comparison. What I said still holds true. Les Miles would never lose to a glorified high school team (aka Stanford) at home with his 5 star blue chip players watching stunned from the sidelines.
