I know a lot of 'tards on here will say that our defense was bad and we were bland on offense. Here's what I saw:

-A very hungry defense. It was obvious that QB and RB were able to get around well, but I saw hard pursuit. The D has a different motor this year as compared to last.

-I saw an effective offense that used a small portion of the playbook. I like that Miles played it close to the chest on offense. If I had my way, the SEC schools wouldn't know what we have until the Georgia game.

-Terrence Tolliver= a beast

-Jacob Cutrera= a beast

-Patrick Peterson= a beast

-D-line had fire in them (especially in the second half.)

-I saw some negatives, but I'm a fan and won't address them the morning after the game. Fire away, Rantards.

It's good to make lemonaide out of our lemons. In this case, someone said it right: "we're undefeated." May it stay so!

I was upset with our Defensive play calling when we had them in 3rd and long. Our tackling in the first half was just awful as well.

I love how this excuse comes out when we look bad early in the season.
They may be saving some stuff, but that does not make up for how bad our O-line looked. We should have been ripping that subpar Pac-10 defense apart.
I will wait and see what happens next weekend before I really start to worry.

Yes, actually learning to tackle, might help.

I know. I can't believe they weren't in mid-season form for the first game while on the longest roadtrip in LSU history.

I saw some fantastic defensive plays. Sure there were first game miscues, but I thought it was a great game.

It's a five hour flight, not some epic journey via covered wagon. Jeez.

What game were some of ya'll watching. LSU got embarassed last night. I guarantee you, USC will pound the frick out of UW. LSU, for some reason thouht they could just show up and win. I can't stand the mentality of this team.

Agree. More than a few hurries, but no sacks that I can recall. Locker ate us up on 3rd down, plain and simple. Our pass D look a lot like, well, last year.

anyone who thinks we looked anything like a top quartile sec team has zero knowledge of football- defense almost looked the same with missed tackles and now we have a new problem coord has us so far off the ball- just need to throw 10 yd curls all night--we looked terrible on defense

So, you're saying LSU used most of the offensive plays in the playbook?

I love some of our fans now. What would you people be saying if TD had been up when Curly and Gerry were coaches.
