Class of 2011 lineman Gregory Robinson (Thibodeaux, La./Thibodeaux) has a great frame and excellent testing numbers for a big man. At 6-4 and 278 pounds, he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds and the shuttle in 4.78. His vertical leap was 25 inches. During some of the warm-up drills, he also displayed good feet for a young player.

At this point, Robinson plays defensive end, but his long term projection is likely at defensive tackle or on the offensive line. With his physical potential, he is definitely one to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Thanks Sammobile. Looks like he has grown as he looked all of the 6-6 that he was listed last night. He towered over everyone on the field.

There was also a senior fullback, Brandon Duncan, for Thibodaux (6-0 or 6-1, 240 lbs) that is being recruited by Georgia Tech (per the folks in the stands, can't vouch for the info). He was quite a load to tackle but Vandebilt High looked very overmatched against Thibodaux last night.

Robinson is all of 6'6" and 280 and he is just a Jr.
He was a dl last year but he moved to OG this year to better himself. He is getting recruited by all the big time schools plus he will be a big time recruit for shot put and discus also. He finished 2nd in the state as a soph. in the state last year.

He's not 6'6, I was at the MCD 35 game and he was maybe 2 inches taller than the 6'2 MCD 35 DT that's committed to Tulane. Robinson is a MAJOR MAJOR project, he looks nice at combines, but on the field he's slow off the ball and VERY SOFT. Many plays he dosen't even touch anyone. He does have decent footwork for a big guy though, and is ok pass blocking. He looks better pass blocking because he dosen't have to get physical he can just get in the way.

Plenty of teams are going to give this kid a shot cause you can't teach size and athleticism. He won't play DE in college though, I can guarantee you that. He dosen't like contact and is way to slow.

I believe he's every bit of 260-270 probably more, as for 6'6. If the listed heights for the MCD 35 players were accurate then he looks to be right around 6'5, still huge.

Like I said he has great size, great feet, but isn't physical at all. I understand he's learning to play the position, but it dosen't take much teaching to know how to put your helmet and shoulder into the guy in front of you. When your 6'5-6'6 280 pounds you should put kids half your size on their @ss pretty easily. Instead he tries to push all the defenders with his arms extended. Any DL with technique will eat him alive if he keeps doing that. Can you teach him to want to hit someone, that remains to be seen?
