Don't know if this is Germans or not. Can't recall having seen a thread on it. The recent mandate by the SEC and XOS Technology claiming full ownership of all SEC video whether live or taped prompted me to write the technical staff at the Geauxzone. My subscription is due for renewal in Oct.

They told me no longer would the Geauxzone be permitted to air live events. Taped events would have to be 48 hrs. after actual event.

The link is at secsports.com and is going to affect a lot of news media right down to folks that make U-Tube videos. I guess the SEC feels they have to corner the market on their product so that only they are making money off of it.

is this going to include baseball games as well? that would be complete bullshite as they don't broadcast but a handful of games on tv as it is. that's actually the only reason i pay for geauxzone

does this apply to all sports? i've had a subscription since they started the GeauxZone pay service. primarily, i use it for watching the home baseball games.

my subscription just lapsed but i've been debating whether to renew.

I canceled my Geauxzone already. This is getting ridiculous.

From reading the agreement @ secsports.com it pertains to ALL sporting events. I'm wondering if this is something in conjunction with the ESPN/CBS deal made with the SEC. Also, I think for a small fee you will be able to view sporting events through the SECSPORTS web site.
So long Geauxzone. It was pretty cool while it lasted.
