Taking a road trip next week and stopping in Oxford for two days just to experience the town because I've never been. Anyone have any must-eat destinations to contribute? Any recommendations from great hole-in-the-wall to fine dining are appreciated. Of course going to Faulkner's house but thought we would feel our way out. Any great historical sites one "must" see while in Oxford? Heard about the "Yellow Fever House" and it seems very interesting, so will probably stop there as well. Thanks.

Ajax for lunch. Good sushi at Two Stick. Yocona Inn was great but it burned down. 208 and City Grocery are great for fancy dinners. proud Larry's decent. Avoid Library for food as well as Rib Cage. I also think Pearl Street Pasta is below par.

FWIW the Newk's chain started in Oxford (hey, you said historical...).

Budget a good chunk of time to browse Square Books.
