I'd like to say that fans of other mediocre teams are all on their message boards talking about how they're going to win the Super Bowl, too. I'd like to think that Bengals, Dolphins, Seahawks, and Chiefs fans are angry at being "disrespected by the national media" and are ready to "shock the world". But apparently, this is a local phenomenon.
I'm a Saints fan, too, but when I hear people state that they actually have thought everything out and see us winning the Super Bowl- and they're fricking serious- I'm embarrassed for them. There's a big difference between wanting us to win the Super Bowl and us realistically being able to win it. How about we have a winning record first?
Our over/under is 8.5 games. Sure, we could shock the world and win 10-12 games, but being optimistic is winning the NFC South and maybe a playoff game, possibly two- but a TON of things have to go right for that to happen. Let's slow down with these outrageous expectations and just enjoy what should be one of our better years.
