For the old geezers like me, LSU - USC from 1979 will always remain the standard for nonstop noise. That said, I can recall a few games that stood out to me for noise, fan intensity, etc.

2001 vs. Auburn: This was the game that got rescheduled because of the 9/11 tragedy. It turned out that the game would decide the West representative for the SECC game. That alone guaranteed a juiced up crowd, then throw in all the cigar smoking, stomp on the eye of the field and trying to interfere with the LSU band at halftime mess and the crowd was ready for blood. This was the game that started all the Auburn fans' whining about LSU fans and the corndog stupidity that lingers to this day.

vs. UGA in 2003: Far and away the loudest, most intense crowd I've ever witnessed at a day game in TS. To be honest, I haven't made many day games in TS, so I may not be the best judge in that department.

vs. Notre Dame in 1971: My first game ever in TS. This was back before ESPN and the huge proliferation of networks that carry college football these days, so a home game in primetime was a HUGE deal. The Tigers lost a hard fought 3 - 0 game in South Bend the year before and more than made up for it that night. There were 2 or 3 times that Notre Dame went for it on 3rd or 4th and goal from the 1. Sadly for them, they were heading right into the teeth of a lunatic student section and the Tiger D held fast, helping to produce a 28 - 8 win.

vs. Florida State in 1982: The winner of that game was going to the Orange Bowl, so I doubt that there were any oranges left in BR stores that night. The Tigers scored early and often in a 55 - 21 romp that produced a hailstorm of oranges everytime the Tigers scored. Then late in the game, a mass of fog rolled in, just adding to the lunacy.

There were likely other games that folks would nominate for their own reasons. I just included games that I went to and still reside in my fading memory.
