Might sound really off the wall, but I think J. Lee will be very much improved.Watching the offense from the sideline will help him bigtime.

Well he really has no place to go but up. I know there were a lot of factors that affected his performance last year, but I would expect to see him improve and be a solid backup.

In order to be considered the 'biggest surprise in 09' i would think that the player would have to see the field in more than just mop up duty.

In the SEC most QB's take a big time pounding.God forbid that any one gets hurt or shaken up.Being on the line will give alot of insight. With that said,JJ is the real deal and will be hard to defend because of his ability to run.I think he also thinks or see's things faster. He tends to see openings and seams before it happens.Tebow is a master at this.Pigskin is not just a game of inche. Now its a game of milli seconds, unless you are USC or in their conference then its a game of minutes.Booya

I think Jefferson's play will excede what many of the JL lovers expect and he will be our sole go to QB.

And behind him will be one helluva a backup.

(unless injury) i don't see Lee going on to be the suprise player for the '09 team

You are the king of talking out of both sides of your mouth.

You love the opp to utterly blow JJ, however you dont want to get labeled a JL hater so you throw him and those who you know take up for him a bone.

Id rather you just say JJ is gonna win hesiman and I hope JL never plays again. At the very least then youll come off as being honest.

but this wont happen this year, maybe in the future but not now

not so. I believe he is capable but im not sure if he is going to get his shot at LSU. Like im glad he is our backup QB and im glad he didnt transfer, but i think his best shot at significant playing time in the near future would be to transfer. BUt im glad he stayed in case JJ gets hurt.

------------------------------------------------

Despite what you assume of me, I really am glad JL is our backup. I beileve JJ should be the starter from what ive seen and thats where my argument come in to just let him have his chance and stop saying JL should get to play right away too. JJ deserves his shot to be the main QB at LSU. But if things dont work out which doesnt appear to be likely from everything ive seen out of JJ, Im perfectly ok to hand the reigns back to JL and see what he can do.

Im just curious why you and others are so sure about a guy that you've seen play so little.
Apparently you dont realize that by doing that you set yourself up for disappointment.

Let the guy get some meaningful/substatinal exp before you start labeling him what kinda player he is gonna be 1-2-3 yrs from now.

One would think ya'll would haved learned your lesson from past players like JBooty and RP.

Generally, I agree. I'm glad to have a back up with experience. But I hope he rarely sees the field. Also, the kid from tupelo, though I hope he can keep a red shirt, has perhaps the best release on the team....he may be the next pro style QB we run and as far as running goes, he did well in the Spring Game on the sprint I remember.

All I am saying JJ showed improvement from Ole Miss, to Arkansas, to GT, and into the spring. In the spring JJ was solid and Lee was his usual self: confused, looking down recievers, and so on. Yes he did have some nice plays, but as you consistently say when we bring up anything good Jefferson did in the spring, its meaningless. so the same can be said for anything Lee did good in the spring.

And your right I shouldve seen what a thug JEfferson looked like. He is so the next Ryan Perriloux

Im not talking about the spring nor have I ever mentioned the spring.
Im talking about the games that counted that JJ participated in, which were om, ark, and gtech.

Hardly the point... nor did even imply that.
For whatever reason RP never panned out to be the LSU football player so many thought he was.

Are you suggesting that Jordan Jefferson is not LSU's starting quarterback?

Yea well we saw JJ and JL go up against the same exact defense and in a spring game with no pressure JL still looked like he was about to crap his pants.

probably because he was a thug and got kicked off the team.

I think we are going to be surprised by how dominant Ron Brooks will be. He may not be starter yet, but that will change I think. I was really impressed with his play last season.

no he isnt but deep down he wants it to be so but we have a greater chance of blowing out Florida than him admitting it.

i mean i root for whoever our quarterback is. that said i just make posts based on what I have seen, and how the spring has gone. apparently that warrants being referred to as Senor Douchebag

you should know better to say any thing that isn't uplifting about JL
