I liked it. It did drop the ball at the end taking out he fight scene, but I did think it brought more comedy to the table than your usual HP movie. I laughed a fair bit.

i liked the movie, but there was 0 reason to change the ending to the book. It changes everything having harry not stunned IMO, and the fight scene would have made the movie completely legit

This is actually a major problem. The book is very dark and there is a sense that everything is on the edge of disaster for the good guys. The book goes into Riddle's bloodline and why he became so evil. The movies was all about teenage hormones.
Also, they never tell you why Snape was called teh Half-Blood Prince. The movie was bullshite.
