Grilling burgers tonight and would like to try making some onion rings. Any suggestions on the batter and how do you get the batter to stick to the onions. Using vidalia onions.Thx ahead and have a great day.

I always put my onion rings in ice water for about one hour. Then I make a egg batter, then dip them in flour.Always double dip.Or you can put a bowl of ice water and dip the rings in instead of the egg batter.

16oz of flour and a 16 oz beer (not light)

Just dip them in the wet batter and fry

Easy, quick beer batter and comes out really well

That's how I used to do it but I used creole seasoning in lieu of hot sauce. Worked pretty good but I haven't made them in years.
