As a parent I'd say that a game later in the year would be better ... not nearly as hot. We took our oldest for the first time when he was 6 or 7 (now almost 17) and the 2nd son when he was 4 ... had to feed him candy, hot dogs etc the whole game ... after the band marched off the field he said "I'm ready to go now"!

I'd really be hesitant only because of the heat ... good luck!
