When I had first read about Chavis, I got the understanding that he wanted huge DTs and DEs to soak up blockers so the Eric Alexander-type LBs could be free to make plays.

I may have misunderstood the whole thing to be ALL FOUR Dlinemen to be huge when in fact only the DTs are to be cloggers.

**
Does he like for his DTs to clog the middle, while smaller DEs can get around an OT?

or

Does he rely on all four to be big where a Jordan Allen-type of DE is on both sides?

I understand that there will be situational rushers on the end.....but what is Chavis' overall philosophy from first to third down?

DE DT DT DE

or

de DT DT DE

or

de DT DT de

Ha, okay, that's wierd because nowhere in that post did I ask some 5'5" fig to anwser the question with some gay remark.

Seriously, if you don't know the answer or don't care to put in your two cents, you can make this board less of a joke by not trying to be some dork that looks for questions just to say 'germans' or something gay like what you said above.

I know he has had some big DT in the past, but I wouldn't call them run stuffers or anything. A. Hanyesworth, Justin Harrell and Jesse Mahelona.

John Henderson, Albert Hayneworth, Rashad Mooore, Aubrayo Franklin,Demetrin Veal, Justin Harrell, Tony McDaniel, Jesse Mahalona,

Chavis recruits LBS.and beefs them up to DE"s..just about every DE that played at UT was a high school lb..He usually beefs up his Safeties and makes them LB"s.. Just the way he done it at UT.

Yeah, he has always had smaller/faster DEs than what LSU has had. That's why I'm surprised he hasn't offered that Bonomolo guy yet.

I like the sig quote. Ben Franklin has one of my favorites:

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
