NCAA will ask BAMA to vacate wins
this isnt exactly recruiting oriented. But i saw on the article that the infraction will not lead to Bama relinquishing any scholarships. I was curious, is it that the NCAA is going soft (frist on tennessee) and now on BAMA? or is this an appropriate punishment for the misconduct?
Just thought i would put this out here as I am not aware of the ncaa rules but some of you might have a more educated idea.

I think that self reporting the infraction was the cause for leanancy. The money they got for Bowl Games is already spent. Since no BCSNCs were involved, who cares about the wins this long after the fact.

right. I mean, it was textbook related stuff and not as major as maybe recruiting/draft violations. But Do you think that coupling this with the Tennessee infractions and the NCAA swallowing the Razorback story that no DRAFT agent infractions were found, that maybe the NCAA has gone soft?
This is just a opinions question, not saying one way or the other. Just saw other questions similarly on espn polls and stuff earlier so wanted to know the opinions of people on this forum.
Also whats up with so many SEC schools having infractions? If such minor infractions are going on in SEC schools, i have a feeling they are abundant everywhere else in the NCAA, especially in areas such as UCLA and USC where money and limelight are dime a dozen. So anyone think that SEC, despite having 4 of the last 6 National titles and 3 from the past 3 years, is still not getting as much credit/respect as a conference and is facing more negative than positive limelight?

This won't really affect recruiting IMO, although Meyer can now say "Don't go to Bama, they are cheaters" and somewhat mean it haha.

I agree...It seems only the southern schools get the NCAA's attention.

Bama still has not proven that it can win big consistently in this era without cheating.
