With the suspensions being up held will he earn a starting spot with Will Smith and Charles Grant out for the first four weeks?

Possibly, if he has an amazing four weeks. The money the other two make keep them from playing less than 50% of snaps I think.

If they stay healthy, they'll probably use a rotation on the line. I think Smith will bounce back and be fully recovered from the sports hernia and get 7 or 8 sacks. I see Grant getting 5, he was playing better before getting hurt last year. McCray will also have 7 or 8 I think.

With Williams new system, I think mccray would have to be lights out to keep the starting job. With the money we're paying the other 2, I want to see how they respond to this scheme. I'm hoping all 3 can play up to their potential.

McCray fits in better with williams scheme. He perfers faster players so I wouldn't doubt him playing alot this season. Dude always finds a way to find the QB.

McCray is a more dependable person than Grant on and off the field I'll say that.

I think the only thing keeping McCray off the field is his "supposed" lack of run stuffing ability. I have read, no link, that they are concerned about him on 1st and 2nd downs. If this is false, then I say he plays alot, based on him being a "pass rushing specialist".

I think the play of Clancey and Ellis will directly effect what McCray will be able to do. If they dominate the middle he will succeed on the end.

that and the fact that he runs as far out as he can to get to the qb and they end up doing a RB draw where is was supposed to be and they get a first down..
sort of like what tyson jackson did all of this season.. didn't maintain his lane and people ran right where he was supposed to be.

Should money dictate playing time? I'm not saying it doesn't. I'd like to think that SP would put the best player on the field and not necessarily the high-dollar name brand.
