If you were Coach Mainieri...

What order rotation would you use in Hoover this week/weekend?

Ross is in today to give Ranaudo an extra day's rest. Makes sense. If we win today, I'd go with Ranaudo in game 2. If not, I'd pitch Coleman.

Game 1:Ross
Game 2:Ranaudo
Game 3:Coleman
This is probably the obvious order he is going to use right, Josh336?

I wouldve liked to see Coleman go today, and give him a second start this weekend, possibly Championship Sunday

If we win today, then Ranaudo; but if we lose, we should throw Coleman

Ross first
Win - pitch Ranaudo
Lose - pitch Bradshaw or Matulis

Nope. If we get on a roll, go with it, if we don't...don't throw the best unless we have to.

I'm glad you aren't the coach.

The SEC tournament is completely unimportant for us. I'd rather rest Ranaudo and Coleman if we can.

I agree with you to an extent. A little more rest than normal to get them ready for the post season run will do some good. However, they do need to get a few innings in. Don't want them to go two weeks without throwing in a live situation IMO

Not critical, but important nonetheless. Going 0-2 would be bad and likely cost LSU seeding. Coleman in game 2 for the "must" win. He can rest after he pitches and needs to work once a week anyway.

We have a national seed locked up either way. It won't hurt us if we go 0-2. We might lose a seed or two but that doesn't mean the road will be any tougher.

It would only be 1 week

Huh? I predict that if we lose two straight we may find ourselves watching the scoreboard hoping we keep our national seed. My opinion is that we need to pitch one our two top starters today. Get the first win. I see what Mainieri is trying to do. He is relying on the lineup to score runs. We all know that Ross is usually good to give up 4 or 5 in six or seven innings. We better get the bats going early and get their lefty out or its going to be a long day.

LOL, no. We have a national seed locked up. We won the #1 conference this year.
