Looks like a good player who can do various tasks to help the team win. I think we will use him similar to Darcel McBath (defensive back & special teams..drafted by Denver Broncos this year). Brandon committed on the spot - do you know when will he make his official visit?

Not exactly on the spot, he's been mulling over this decision for a week and half now, and decided to pull the trigger today. From what I understand having such a big program be his first offer and offer him so early in the process really won him over. No idea about the official visit, but I'm going to message him in a bit to congratulate him and I'll ask him.

You guys are getting a kid with alot of upside. He's really thin right now, it looks like it's hard for him to keep weight on because he plays basketball immediately after football is over and plays AAU in the summer so he's always running. Also runs track. His frame could easily add 15-25 lbs, and as soon as he gets into a college weight program and does that, Watch out. Even at 160 lbs he wasn't afraid to pop bigger backs and receivers, when he gets the weight behind him he'll be real good.

Brandon Smith's ESPN Profile, and evaluation. This evaluation is dead on and the best analysis I've seen of him yet.

Also, he's rated a 76. In the past 4 years, there's only been 3 CB's out of Louisiana rated higher than that by ESPN.
