Saw 2 Ending

I haven't seen it in a while, but if I remember correctly, the entire "game" in the setup house was pre-recorded. Jigsaw actually had the cop's son (Donnie Wahlberg) inside the safe with enough air to breathe until the timer went off and the safe opened.

The cops tracked down the location of the house only to find no one was there or everyone was already dead (except Wahlberg's son and Amanda, who was in the basement waiting for Wahlberg). She drugged Wahlberg, left him there, end of movie. I don't think they actually say what happened to the son after the safe opened.

In a nutshell, it was all a setup to trap Wahlberg's character.

We later find out that Amanda was just a psycho killer, and she would have presumably tried to kill Wahlberg anyway.
