coach has alot of ways he can go depending on the pitcher.its a good problem to have.how good would this team be if bradford would have had one more year.

I am very excited and proud of Leon, he's gonna have a huge part with this team going forward into the postseason, and I expect him to be a monster next season.

how good would we be if verdugo had came back.

Verdugo wasn't that good imo. He had two pitches. Fastball that wasn't that fast and a decent at best changeup.

bradford was that guy who could get us to ott on multiple days or start sunday.bradshaw has improved though.he may be that buy.

Where does Landry fit now though?? I think the only person that could he could replace would be Nola. Which would mean that Schimpf goes back to 2nd. That loosens up the defense in the middle of the infield, and I don't think many people want that.

I'll take that line up, DJ'S not that bad at SS!

+10,000 ive been saying this but some peopleare so ignorant and think if you have good defense and hit .100 at the plate you should be playing

Nola has been coming around a bit in the last few games. Probably showed his potential in one of the 3 this past weekend. I think against lefties leon will stay on the bench and against righties CPM will use several lineups with leon being in one of them. CPM can see what type of pitcher it is and then match up our hitter which is nice to have as an option.

Leon did have a great game; and Nola did do a little better but any time you go 1 for 4 at the plate and your batting average improves thats a little weak. Remember we were playing the worst team in the SEC!

You are a fricking idiot. Our defense is much better with Nola at ss. He hits 9th and swang it well this weekend. He can bunt and move people over. As for Leon, he will start against RHP and Ochinko will be the odd man out. Possibly Mitchell if he goes cold. Dean, Schimpf, and Mahtook are not coming out. DJ is a MLB 2nd baseman and Nola is the best SS we have. Period.

I've got an idea...How about we let PM do his job. I'd say he has done a pretty great job up to this point. Bottom line is, this is a great problem to have heading into the postseason.

Damn. You must be the latest bird-dog hired by the Tigers.
Over the last three-game series, his Fielding Percentage went from .961 to .965 on nine chances with 0 errors. I don't have the precise number of double plays turned by the Nola-LeMahieu combo but it almost certainly exceeds the Schimpf-LeMahieu combo.
Now as far as his .242 BA goes, his OB% is .346; and for a noted below .250 hitter his SLG% = .364. Everyone's jumped on Landry's bandwagon quick enough. But Nola's average went from .204 to .242 (5/12 including 1 double, 1 HR) against MSU. His performance included 9 TB and 4 RBIs.
It's pointless to quarrel over who's the latest and greatest hottest hitter. The current SS-2B combo is producing the best defensive results as of the moment. Only a hardball neophyte would question the worthiness of a solid up-the-middle fielding duo.
Let's all cheer on the Tigers through the SEC and Regional tourneysl. Hopefully, we wind up in another Super resulting in another OMAHA visit.
