I've gotta make a weekend trip with my girlfriend to Gumpland in the next few weeks. I've driven through Tuscaloosa on the way back from Talladega, but never stopped to eat or spent the night. Where is a good, safe place to stay and where can I get something good to eat? (besides Dreamland, my gf doesn't eat ribs)

I have been looking for it on google and it isn't popping up. But if you go North of the river on 359 then take a right to follow the path of the river there is a really nice lodge down on the right a few miles. They also have a pretty good in-house restaurant.

It may ring a bell to someone else, but they will give you golf balls and a driver and let you try to hit it over the river towards U of A.
