Maybe the worst remake I have ever seen. If there is worse I would be curious to know. Name the worst remake you have seen?

Planet of the Apes. Estella Warren was the only thing that made it watchable.

Apes looked good. The worst part of apes was the silly ending trying to ape the original.

There was nothing redeeming about Day.

The only thing I sort of liked in The Day the Earth Stood Still. (And mind you this is very little.) Is how in the very beginning they showed how they got the shell of a body to blend in when they return to destrot earth. That was kind of a cool touch but really a very small detail of what was a horrible remake.

This was far worse than watchmen and hulk 1.

I still think there must have been numerous scripts rewrites because some of the dialogue didn't seem to make any sense.

Some scenes made no sense. Kill cop, heal cop.

Hate humanity. Spend a few hours with Will Smiths kid and love humanity. By the way, 4 hours with that whiny brat would make most peaceful aliens want to exterminate humanity not the other way around.

I liked War of the Worlds. The only thing I hated about War of the Worlds was the Disney ending.

I mean, how did the son survive when he ran to the top of the hill as it exploded into massive flames.

That was hogwash. I probably could have done without the Tim Robbins scene.

Bewitched was a steaming pile.

I started it late last night and turned it off about an hour into it for sleepy time. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but so far I'm still kind of intrigued to see where it's going. I'm gonna pick it back up later today.

If you like this pile of trash you will need to take the walk of shame right off this movie board for all eternity.

Anyone liking this nonsensical steamer loses all credibility.

I'm sure with enough weed and vodka you will be able to finish it off.

It does get ridiculous on here sometimes. I actually though this movie was pretty good. I had extremely low expectations after reading this board, so it was surprisingly better then I thought.

still haven't finished it, but it's hard for me to take some of you guys seriously when your opinions over a movie are that strong. I usually always find something good about a movie, even if I hate 90 percent of it.

The movie simply makes almost no sense.

He has no feeling whatsoever about Earth being destroyed but then spends part of a day with a kid that whines the whole time and then he wants to save earth.

Some of the people that hated it, hated it because it was more than a little over the top with the portrayal of the government.

In the original they shot the alien because they THOUGHT he had a weapon in his hand. This time they just shot him.

The government was plain ridiculous. The alien already proved it was more powerful than anything we could handle so they decide to launch a weak arse attack.

I really feel that this movie had a script that was written, then changed a little , then changed again and then changed again. It did not have a smooth flow to it. Almost seemed like the south park manatees were involved.

Some of the dialogue just didn't make sense. Almost like a scene was cut.

I may look for the post I made when I first watched it because i listed a ton of things that were just terrible about it.

BY the way, I post on here all the time and I almost always jump on people when they say something was the worst movie ever. In this case it is justified.

SPOILERS

Okay here are reasons I hated this movie. One lets just put the obvious I went in comparing it to the original.

So these little bug things just rip everything apart. They take that moving semi down in like 3 seconds, Giants stadium etc. However if they get inside your body it takes some time to kill you? You get a nose bleed and eventually die but huge object disapear in seconds.

Gort looked more realistic in the original. I understand this one is CG but even when it was CG it was all hazy as if they were hiding the fact they knew it was bad looking special effect.

They have him hooked up for a lie detector test. There is nobody else watching the questioning take place? Not even behind a double sided mirror? Lets just put this nervous guy in a room with an alien which he is too scared to even look in the eyes until he knows he is screwed. Wouldn't some high officials want to hear the comments that could come out of his mouth the moment he says them?

They made the one commander who was in charge of almost every attack in the movie way over the top and corny. When he said, "Does anyone have any ideas?" It was just cheesy.

Then the story of basically they are here to kill no warning to humans just you all die. I liked that aspect of the first. He was not just killing people he came to observe and make a point to humans.
