Hmmm... well as much as I think the rule is necessary but stupid when applied to this case, I don't think this rule is a reason that he couldn't finish his degree.

Considering he only has one year to go, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to get a Pell Grant if his financial situation is as dire as they make it out be and then take out student loans to cover the rest of the cost like nearly every other student needs to do.

As far as him being a "thug", he seems like to me that he committed those crimes when he was a kid/teen and looks to have turned his life around. It's not like he's doing this stuff while he's playing for the team, unless I"m missing something.
