Quite possibly just barged its way into my top 5. About a month ago I saw it for the first time and I can't stop watching it now. Bale was incredible as Bateman. So many memorable quotes and scenes too.

Try reading the book, it goes into a great deal more detail on everything. Although I must say it was quite disturbing, there were alot more scenes to enjoy if you liked the movie.

+1
The book is much more graphic and explicit. Also has much more commentary about the 80's lifestyle, which was some of the best stuff about the movie IMO.
The book is not for the easily offended.

+1,000,000 The book is one of the most *%&@ed up pieces of literature I have read. All of the scenes in the book (and there are several that are left out of the movie for obvious reasons) go in to such graphic, gruesome detail. Do yourself a favor and read it

I actually read it because i was dating a girl who swore it was her favorite book. She loved it.
It was funny once you just accepted the fact that the violence was going to happen.
"Im into murders and decapitations".
"Oh i know a few people in mergers and acquisitions"

I'm reading the book right now and i still haven't gotten to a murder and i'm on about page 115. But what i've read so far is friggin awesome
That being said this is fa sho my favorite movie. The movie was so good i had to read the book so i can understand everything a bit better.

I have to return some video tapes.
definitely, a classic movie. i love how he is dead serious about the 80's yuppie culture. definitely one of my top favorite movies.

if you haven't already seen this yet, this MOVIE is going to be pretty cool.

Did it not even have the decency to knock?
