Who will inherit the number when Dickson is finished?

I say Chad Jones

I'm not sure if it is symbolic of anything. Wasn't he #18 in HS?

What makes you think he would give it to Chad Jones?

I say the only way he passes it down is if we win a National Championship this year. Without that, theres really no significance behind it and it is pointless in my opinion.

I asked the same thing...and why would Chad Jones want it?

Dickson is a future NFLer, but he will not be what Jacob Hester was to most of LSU's fanbase. The number would basicaly be like any other handed down number and it would lose value. Dickson might as well give it to Mitch Joseph.

Some LSU player commented a couple years ago saying #18 was for the best white player on the team FYI

I don't think it was "best" player. I think it was more of someone who is a leader. Someone who sheds good light on LSU on and off the field. And is a warrior on the gridiron ala. Hester, Dixon..

Yeah, sorry forgot him. I believe he was the one who started the passing down of the number if I remember correctly.

DandyDon would say Ace Foyil. He's been really impressive for three camps now.

Tim Molton. They say he is extremely dedicated and a team first kind of guy.

I would guess Chris Garrett. Dickson will not only keep it "white" and "offensive" (pun intended), but he will now start the tradition of keeping it "Mississippi."
