Shepherd did it and I loved it.

But remember Perriloux was solid on Texas till signing day...soo it's nice to have a suprise here and there.

I'm fine with recruits taking their time though. It is a very important decision and they should look at all their options.

I would by lying to you if LSU sports didn't have a large part of me enrolling here. However, I am proud to say that I will be the only one from my family with a LSU degree. My family is die hard Tiger fans and it just really makes me feel good to say that.

SHEPARD.

He may have been committed, but he was anything but "solid"

That was a pretty terrible surprise, in hindsight.

I am not referring to non-athletic high school kids looking to choose a college. In that case I would look at department rankings (talking about how department's national rank based on my specific interests) and not just the school name. Companies pay attention to that as well as school prestige. I am just saying that if I was a Louisiana football player, LSU has the academics (being a flagship school with professors and resources) and a football team that sends plenty of players to the NFL. It is also in a state in which people's lives are dictated by what LSU does on Saturday. There are not too many states that have people that talk about football every single day of the year.

be fine as long as he doesn't face any speed rushing DE's; it's not like the SEC has many of those
I'm not a proponent of Fluker starting at LT this season like a bunch of our fans are. He needs time to develop technique to go with his physical gifts. My butt puckers up when I think of him as the only thing between McElroy and Greg Hardy.

It is nice to see a 5 star LA HS player commit early like Dorsey did. They bleed purple and gold.

Dorsey was one of the top 55 HS recruits as was Favorite. They were both Parade All-Americans. It doesn't get any higher. He was a 5 star by most recruiting sevices.

I always just go by rivals. I forget that there are different ranking some times.

My fault.
