Bill King said the number one College Baseball town in America is Baton Rouge Louisiana. Nobody more passionate about their ball club than Tiger fans!

I'd rather be considered the number one football town.

But hey, college baseball is a cute, little niche sport.

I just thought the national pub was good for LSU...even though it is just a blurb on a nationally broadcast sports radio show.

What in my post is false?

College baseball is a tiny little sport.

I'd rather us be good, than suck, but no one watches college baseball.

I know where you're coming from (it's not as big as football or basketball)... but it's hardly a niche sport

Or not IMO anyway when it's played all over the country and the championship games/college world series are televised on national TV

Especially compared to college football and college basketball, college baseball is only popular in one month, and that one month is June when there is absolutely nothing on TV. Hell women's college basketball is on national TV more than college baseball is...
But I'm still glad we are good at it, just as I'd be happy to be in lacrosse or men's soccer, but in no way can you compare men's football or basketball to college baseball

Apparently you come from Austin - see if your local university/community cares about UT baseball.

The answer you get just might open your eyes...

I would actually compare college baseball to minor league baseball in the fact that they are hundreds of teams, but you only care about it if the are good or if you have a great past. So LSU is good this season and has a great past, therefore we like it, but just because we like it doesn't mean the whole country does!!

And somehow the College World Series draws the same size crowds every damn year...

What are you talking about??? Omaha has a rich tradition of hosting the tournament and the people there love it and wait for it. SO I'm pretty sure they fall into the category of having a TRADITION with college baseball that which makes them go every year.

Just like Williamsport and there situation with hosting the LLWS, but yet i don't see people crawling to the Little League fields every saturday just to watch for fun, if they don't have a kid playing!

As far as college football goes I would say we have to be close. It seems like most people rank our stadium extremely tough, say we have one of the best gameday atmospheres, we have one of the best programs, and we have extremely passionate fans(I would say with the LSU being the only LA program).
