LSU batting avg this season (so far) compared to last season

Dean, Schimpf, and Gibbs are in the biggest slumps. Mitchell and Ochinko have improved the most. LeMahieu is the only one doing outstanding so far this season that also did outstanding last season.

LSU batting avg. this so far season
(only 25 ABs or higher):

.472 -- Mitchell (36 AB) -- last season hit .297
.463 -- Ochinko (67 AB) -- last season hit .272
.424 -- LeMahieu (59 AB) -- last season hit .337
.355 -- Jones (31 AB)
.326 -- Hanover (43 AB)

.273 -- Helenihi (44 AB) -- last season hit .295
.273 -- Gibbs (55 AB) -- last season hit .322
.262 -- Landry (65 AB) -- last season hit .271
.254 -- Dean (65 AB) -- last season hit .353
.250 -- Schimpf (60 AB) -- last season hit .320

All of those averages will be completely different by the end of the year, with the exception of maybe hanover

They'll all be swinging strong before we know it. Them boys are just waiting on that hot arse baseball weather to get here.

Yeah, LeMahieu isn't phased by that being that he went to high school in Michigan
