This one hurts he was an absolute stud. The drought has been really bad at our place and this is the third dead Nilgai I have found the last 3 months.

The good news is we had a bunch of rain and filled all our ponds so they won’t have to go as far to come to the other two ponds we have wells on.

It’s going to take a while for all the grass to come back so hopefully we have a wet spring. I saw a Nilgai Bull the morning we left and it look run down as shite.

I think it’s December to March. Best time to hunt them is October to April when the temps are cooler. They can breed year around like axis but peak season is December-March.

When I say cooler not 105 it’s still pretty damn hot October and November most of the time down there.
