Basic Pistol Training

I’m in need of a basic pistol course around Baton Rouge. I’m talking very basic. I own a 9mm handgun but have never been trained in its proper use and do not feel comfortable handling it at all. Recommendations?

FRP firing range on Choctaw has some good qualified NRA instructors. Bonus is they have a gun range right there.
If Greg Bonner is still there, he's the best. Great guy.
