Bass Pro Shop Rod N Reel Trade In Question

I believe the trade in of old reels and poles ends tomorrow and am wondering what condition reels and poles have to be in. I have roughly 8 reels and a couple poles that are missing eye inserts (lil round piece inside eye) just sitting in my shed I’d like to get get rid of and don’t wanna just throw away.
Also how does the trade in work? Has anyone done this before? Explain to me like I’m 6 cause I don’t understand the process that my kid tried telling me. Thanks

I just went this past weekend and traded in an old pole by itself that they didn't really inspect and they give you a coupon and basically the more you spend the more the coupon is worth. I got a St. Croix rod that was on sale for 160 and got an extra 30 bucks off with the coupon.

working condition, they don't accept poles that are broken and I'm sure reels are similar. The donated rods and reels are donated so they want them in working order.
