I know you think the hard and fast rule is to take until you get a strike, but it's really not. You just need base runners, however you choose to approach that. No matter the plan, it's always a failing one if you don't get baserunners.

It's 100% that. You make the pitchers throw as many pitches as you can. You make him go deep in counts. YOU DO NOT SWING AT THE FIRST PITCH COWBOY.

This is what I don’t understand, back when I played college ball, when we were in catch up mode, we took until we got a strike and sometime took 3-1. If jay isn’t making this decision, it seems like it’s coaching incompetence.
