This has been posted multiple times. And while Mamdani is a moron, this is for an actual paid job. Of course you have to have ID and a social security number.
The reason this got so much publicity initially is that it said this was for a "volunteer" position, but later clarified that it was a paid job.

I searched for 'shovel snow' and got nothing but a bunch of hits for the 'AOC says dumb stuff about snow' thread.

Sorry bro, but that's what my company requires as well. Plus this is to work for the city government, so they are probably more stringent than most employers.
