1) Drafted Sam Darnold
2) He is playing their hated division rival
Is that the closest the Jets may ever get again to cheering for their team in the Super Bowl?

As long as Woody Johnson owns the team, the Jets are going to be a bottom 3 franchise in the league. Maybe that changes one day if he sells the team.

Former Jets QB who got them to two AFC Championships later went on to get his was whooped by an old man. Cursed franchise.

The Jets will be stuck in their current pattern until they can create a winning culture. Problem is, every time they get even the slightest glimpse of that, they get too impressed with themselves and fire everyone because they think they can accelerate the process.
The Jets remind me of some of the people in business that are always trying to "growth hack" and bounce from one thing to the next thinking something will catch on, when minding the fundamentals is what actually brings success.
They also make rash decisions trying to win the New York media market instead of winning on the field, then organically taking over.
