Suspect told investigators he had multiple drinks before Midtown crash that killed woman, court records show

HOUSTON — A Houston man has been charged after a crash killed a woman in Midtown late Sunday night.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Pierce Street near Emancipation Avenue. Police say 27-year-old Enrique Acevedo Barocio was driving a blue Ford Expedition at a high rate of speed when he struck the pedestrian and several parked vehicles.

He made his first court appearance overnight, where bond conditions were discussed. During the hearing, the judge asked if Barocio wanted an attorney to represent him. He replied, “Yes.” The judge also outlined bond conditions, including that he is not allowed to drive without court permission.
Investigators believe Barocio had been drinking at another bar before the crash. He remains in the Harris County Jail on an immigration hold.

The judge is busy telling ICE to gtfo seeing as he has put restrictions on the murderer "not to drive w/out court permission". This will just continue and continue until something changes.
