Not too familiar with Baton Rouge, was hoping some folks may have a good hotel rec. The closer the better, don’t want to book anything Section 8 style.

Holiday Inn College Drive off Constitution, Embassy Suites by Hilton off Constitution, or Baton Rouge Marriot off Hilton Ave. These are 10-15 minutes from Texas Club, I highly advise you NOT stay anywhere off Florida Blvd closer to Texas Club, that whole area surrounding the honky tonk bar has gone to absolute shite and a tiny drive out to a slightly better place doesnt hurt. Now College Drive aint the best place either but it beats being by anything you said such as Section 8

I ended up booking the Embassy off Constitution. Damn taxes and fees were almost a third of the room price. But that’s just the way things are now I suppose

BR has the bad combo of not having a lot to do and not having a ton of great hotel options in general so pricing and fees are a bit over market for what it realistically should be

Well shite. And I opted for the nonrefefundable rate on hotel
