On a cold Winter Day, here's a heart warming story about the perseverance of Australian Cyclist Jay Vine that overcame some "Outback" adversity to become a champion!

Hoping for a quick recovery to both the injured Kangaroo and Riders!

Vine was knocked from his bike when two large kangaroos bounced onto the road on a high-speed section with about 60 miles left in the undulating 105-mile stage through the hills around Adelaide.
Three riders -- Menno Huising, Lucas Stevenson and Alberto Dainese -- were forced to quit the race, and a kangaroo was injured.
"Everyone asks me what's the most dangerous thing in Australia, and I always tell them it's kangaroos," said Vine, who won his home race for the second time in three years. "They wait and they hide in the bushes until you can't stop and they jump out in front of you. Point proven today."

He’s a very good professional bike racer. He’s won stages and also the overall mountain classification twice in the Vuelta.

I bet the cycling races were crazy back when the dinosaurs would get in the way

Especially with the tires being square I would imagine so.
