My cousin lives near Sacramento and I'm in LA. We're trying to plan a trip to meet up halfway. She's a teacher, so it would have to be during the summer. Any suggestions? We're also considering a ranch in Montana, something of that nature. TIA

Sequoia seems like a pretty equidistant option, but the summer National Park crowd will obviously require some planning now.
