Now that the children are nestled, all snug in their beds… I’m starting this up for the night.
I was hoping to stream the new one, but it’s not available yet. But I’ve never seen the original 1984 slasher either.

It was worth seeing since I never had. Fits the category of “campy horror”. Lot of over the top “Punish!” and “Naughty!” that made for chuckles.
It was exactly the movie I thought I’d get. Old school slasher film with some unique kills and plenty of nice top half nudity.
I doubt I watch any sequels, but I went in searching and wanting to watch the new 2025 version.

It was coin flip between the two of those… long day, so I opted my mindless late night slasher.
I still may do Black Christmas one late night this weekend.
Edit with spoilers:
I much more enjoyed the nonsense and slasher-ness of Silent Night Deadly Night … Black Christmas had somehow less of a storyline which makes no sense. SNDL actually came up with a traumatic origin that created the psycho. His fear of Santa and past traumas created him. Black Christmas was just random killer, ok. We know nothing about anyone’s past or backgrounds. Nothing resolved. And these multiple murders and missing girls, no cops or detectives ever search the house?? I do understand it was made in the 70’s. But I’m glad I finally watched it.
