He's caught some flack before for his scheduling with football but frankly I think that was misplaced frustration due to Covid robbing us of a Texas home game and Brian Kelly's ability to win an opener,
With that said- You gotta call a spade a spade and Lane Kiffin was by far the hottest name in coaching in 2025.

Verge had very little to do with this hire. Graves, Chouest, MMR executives and McKernan called the shots on this one.
