Does anyone have a Ranch Hand front bumper on a newer model Ford truck? Any issues with the sensors in the truck?

I got a 2024 F150 and was wanting to put one on, but I’m hearing mixed opinions about all the sensors working. I don’t use adaptive cruise, but I saw a YouTube video about how the relocated sensors picked up vehicles passing him and slammed on the brakes with the “emergency braking.”

I don’t think the “proximity” sensors(usually 4, or so in the bumper) control the adaptive cruise, but usually a forward looking camera near the rear view mirror and a radar-like sensor in the grill or front facia. However, professional calibration is the most reliable method for ensuring the system's safety and accuracy. The process involves a pre-scan for error codes, aligning the radar sensor using targets and diagnostic software, and a post-scan to verify the calibration is successful.

I have the ranch hand with a full bumper. I wanted to just get the brush guard without the bumper, but was told I would lose not only adaptive cruise control but standard cruise control. In order to keep the standard cruise control I had to get the entire brush guard with bumper combo. I’m very happy with it and glad I did. I have a 2024 F-250.

Best off getting a custom bumper made from a fab shop. Way better built.
