First LSU Game for the Family — Help Us Do It Right!

Headed to our first LSU game tomorrow with the wife and our 14-year-old. Parking in Old Front 9 and sitting in 412. We should be in the lot around 2:00. Definitely planning to catch Victory Hill parade and go see Mike.
Anything we can’t miss before kickoff?
We were also planning to head into the stadium right after the parade to walk around and soak up every bit of the pregame atmosphere.
Any advice is appreciated. I’ve done a good bit of searching through the forums and feel like I’ve got a grasp on things, but you never know.

Victory Hill/Mike on the north side.
412 in the south.
After parade, but before going in, go to south via the west to catch the Billy Cannon & Mike statues in front of the stadium.

You’re going to be sitting in your seats for a while with nothing to do.
Go enjoy more of the area around the stadium. Grab some food or drinks outside before you have to pay stadium prices.
Go inside a little before pregame and you’ll be set. It’s a LONG wait from victory hill parade to pregame

Set up at the top of the hill.. in front of the gym…on fieldhouse drive. Just left of the circle if going up.. you have benches and flower pot structure… you will be able to sit and also let your kids stand on the benches to see if required.. ayou will see the band etc and some music.. you will miss the band for their intro when coming down the hill but your kids will get the feel of it.. then slip doen the side stairs on the gym.. it is in between the gym and building to its right .. will be tight behind were you are watching..
Going down the stairs you will end up at the pmac side doors. Walk around and go in.. this method will avoid some shoulder to shoulder crowds and get you into the pmac.. grab some food drinks outside before going in ( I think they let you bring it in.. someone else correct me if I am wrong).. get a good seat and rest after spending time earlier at mikes cage etc.. the best seating for viewing the show is in center court on the football stadium side.. it is a nice show and your family will get all the band songs they may have missed at the hill .. but in comfort and great viewing..

They usually practice over at the enchanted forest.. have not watched this year but where it was in past.. yeah this is worthwhile .. not sure of the timing.. I usually just hear them and wander over..
there should be a agenda of events sent out by lsu.. or on their website
My early post references the band show in the pmac before they go into the stadium.

Try to get there earlier and tailgate with random Tiger fans. Wear YOUR team colors. If it smells good, compliment them and let them know this is your first time. Don’t be shy the vast majority want to show you a good time! Prepare to eat and drink Tiger style!
If you like spending money, there are a couple of gift shops. If you have a sweet tooth hit the Dairy Science ice cream cart in front of the dairy store 118 S Campus Dr. The students make extremely good ice cream. (If available make sure to get a serving of Tiger Bite. It’s a yellow custard vanilla ice cream with purple berry swirls.) Get other flavors and share.

I want to be on the sidewalk when the band stops and goes into the pre-game music. That is an electric moment for old timers, first time visitors will be blown away.
