How will coaching change impact recruiting?

Just curious.
If we were to get lane, dillingham, or drink. How does that change decrying this year and next?

dunno about all that, but i do expect us to be even more heavily invested in the portal vs. HS recruiting

I'd imagine nothing gigantic in the short term. Next years class could be huge if the NIL support is there along with a coach who is proven to develop NFL players.
Have to get an OL coach who coaches first recruits second.
It's all about perception of the new coach. Does he attract talent or does he want to go the route of trying to develop kids who might not have that 5 star tag to them.
I think you need to hire a coach before the transfer portal opens and pray he can get a new crop of guys in who can contribute to his system.

High school this year won’t be impacted much (IMO) but portal might be pretty strong

Depends on who gets hired but if it’s kiffin like suspected, I would think that would excite a lot of recruits.
He markets himself like no other coach out there. He’s online like all these kids are. Twitter, tik tok, etc. gets an unbelievable amount of views and he comes across as someone guys wanna play for.
Now combine that with the LSU brand and a big commitment to NIL and watch out.
