How often do you gap your bag?

I'm constantly practicing lately trying to get down to low single digits from 8-10 and it seems my distances are different every few weeks. I'm obviously thrilled with any gains, but it will throw a round off fast. Maybe this index range is when you experience the most swing improvements the quickest?
I'll do a bag mapping, and it will hold up for 2-3 weeks, then boom all my scoring clubs are 7-10 yards longer and it ruins a round. No complaints. It doesn't hit my long irons or fairway woods as hard. I do see gains there but usually only a couple yards so its negligible. I'll go map them again I'm ok for a bit.
I guess the lack of consistency can be slightly frustrating, but definitely a first world problem.
Just trying to see if this a common occurrence

I dont know you, but if i had to guess. I would think your swing is not consistent and you are changing your dynamic loft every couple of weeks then stick with that swing for a while.

This is what I was scared of. I'm watching the launch angles pretty close. I have yet to go backwards though, the range just grows a little.

How often do you use a launch monitor?
I check mine every few months. I’m losing yardage yearly because well…I’m old and that’s what happens.

I’ll throw this out there without knowing your game… Do you play game improvement irons? I know a lot of them can be stronger lofted/hotter and it could be more apparent in the shorter irons because you’re hitting them more solidly than the longer irons. Might make some sense to take a look at that. I play ping blueprint irons in PW-6 iron and the more forgiving i230 in the 4 and 5 iron.

I'm playing Callaway BB irons from 2002 and Vokey SM8 wedges. All standard lofts (46 PW). I had switched to Takomo 101s for a while, but ended up giving those to my son and went back to my Callaway`s. I don't know why but I've always hit these irons better than any other I've played.
I'm noticing it mostly in my KD shots. I also notice the change is not even across the clubs, the shorter the club, the more gain. I'm thinking I'm doing a better job delofting the club at impact. My launch angle for my wedges are all hanging around at 30 to 32 degrees which is slightly high but good enough. My spin is staying relatively consistent around 6500 RPM though it can dip on off center hits. These are all 3/4 9oclock swings.
