FAA grounds all MD11s

MD-11s aren't used for passenger airlines any longer, but they are used for freight. They make up about 4% of FedEx's fleet and ~9% of UPS'. Such groundings by model seem to last at least a month.
UPS' main hub in Louisville and FedEx's main hub in Memphis are both on the list for reduced flights due to the shutdown.
I'm guessing trucking and trains are going to be picking up some extra business until this all sorts out, but right now air freight shippers are scrambling like Pavia in a full blitz to cover those flights.

Ironically, I think my best performer last week was UPS, and they crashed a plane.
