Should La fire Landry - he is responsible for largest buyout of a college AD in history

SW's buyout is reported to be $6M. This was caused by Landry. I think he has only been in office for about a year and already cost the people of La $6M. Can (would?) the people of La fire (i.e., impeach) Landry without paying Landry a buyout?

He can be recalled without paying a penny.
But that requires 1/3 of the number of voters from the 2023 election to sign a petition, just to have the recall election.
